About Originally from Northwest Ohio and now based in Buffalo, New York and Huntington, West Virginia, Hans Gindlesberger's artistic practice considers issues of locality and displacement in an effort to recover a sense of belonging from a landscape that is increasingly in states of social, psychological, and physical flux. His photographs and site-specific work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally and been featured in various publications. In 2006 Gindlesberger received his Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a 2008 fellow in Photography from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Currently, he holds the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Photography at Marshall University. Soyeon Jung |
